Let us have a look before simplification.

(A + B) (A - B) = A² - B², this formula is known to us. We all read about this formula in class 7 or class 8 while learning factorisation.

But, what happens when it becomes √A and √B ???

The logic, as well as the procedure remains the same.

(√A + √B) (√A - √B)

= (√A)² - (√B)²

= A - B [•.• (√A)² = A ; (√B)² = B]

Similarly, the above given question can also be solved easily following this rule and procedure.

The solution will be :

(√3 + √2) (√3 - √2)

= (√3)² - (√2)²

= 3 - 2

= 1

Hence, 1 is the required answer.
