Concept

Square root in maths of a number y is a number such that x² = y . ' √ ' This symbol is used for representation of a square root.

For example

√16 = +4 and -4

√25 = +5 and -5

Given

Numbers are √8, √32, √2

Find

The value of √8 + √32 – √2

Solution

We need to find the value of √8 + √32 – √2

As we know that

√8 = √(2*4)

√8 = 2√root2

√32 = √(2*4*4)

√32 = 4√2

√2 = √2

We need to find the value of √8 + √32 – √2

= 2√2 + 4√2 – √2

= (2 + 4 – 1)√2

= 5√2

The value of√8 + √32 – √2 is 5√2 or 7.07.
