Answer:

Root caps are not found in hydrophytes. As in case of hydrophytes the root does not need to penetrate the soil deep below to have supply of the water hence there is no need of root cap.

Root cap helps the plant root to absorb minerals, water molecules from the surrounding and penetrate deep down. All these features of root cap area not required in the hydrophytes.
