Pollution is a key issue that has been affecting our earth. Although it is an issue which has been prevalent since ancient times, in the 21st century its harmful effect has been felt on a large scale. Although the governments of different countries have taken several major steps to curb these effects, there is still a long way to go.

Several natural processes and cycles get disturbed due to this. Not only that, many flora and fauna today either have gone extinct or are endangered. Due to the rapid increase in the amount of pollution, animals are losing their habitat at a rapid speed.

Pollution has affected several major cities across the globe. A majority of these polluted cities lie in India. Some of the most polluted cities of the world are Delhi, Kanpur, Bamenda, Moscow, Heze, Chernobyl, Beijing among others. Although these cities have taken several steps to curb pollution, they still have a long way to go. The air quality of these places is poor and there are cases of land and water pollution as well. Now it's time that the administration of these cities prepares strategies to check these issues.

After learning the harmful effects of pollution, one must get on the task of preventing or reducing pollution as soon as possible. To reduce air pollution, people should take public transport or carpool to reduce vehicular smoke. While it may be hard, avoiding firecrackers at festivals and celebrations can also cut down on air and noise pollution. Above all, we must adopt the habit of recycling. All the used plastic ends up in the oceans and land, which pollutes them.

To sum it up, all types of pollution is hazardous and comes with grave consequences. Everyone must take a step towards change ranging from individuals to the industries. Answer:

"Root cause of all ills - Thought Pollution"

We all are aware of Noise, water, and air pollution issues. On this earth, there also exists "thought pollution".

"Thought pollution" refers to the contamination of inner peace by negative thoughts.

Human beings greatly benefit from the ability to think. We think to find solutions to our problems. Thoughts become problems when we start thinking of problems to solve.

When we have a negative thought in our head, other negative thoughts will follow. Many people are concerned about environmental pollution and the harm it has done to humans and the planet. However, there is another kind of pollution that kills more people than actual pollution: 'thought pollution'. Everything that exists was once a thought, and destructive weapons were once in someone's mind. Because of this, thoughts are thought to be the cause of all the bad things.

We are unable to think when we are asleep. We work our brains, but we don't think. We feel reenergized when we sleep for seven to eight hours. Because we get to start a new set of thoughts, this is the best time to be positive.

It is important to begin your day with gratitude for your life. Throughout the day, you'll have similar thoughts in your head.

Restart appreciating when this string is interrupted by a negative thought from outside. The best way to avoid "thought pollution" or negative thinking is to express gratitude.

This is not something that happens once. We must regularly clean our minds, just as we do our bodies.

Jewellery is still jewellery even if it is dusty. Money that has been mangled does not lose value; we simply straighten it up. The mind is the same way. We can appreciate its beauty when our minds are clean and clear. We become aware of its beauty. We are unable to see the positive or positive aspects of both ourselves and others when our thoughts become corrupted or consumed.

Your health can be affected by your thoughts and feelings. Emotions tend to flow easily and without affecting our health when they are experienced and expressed without judgment or attachment. On the other hand, suppressing one's feelings, particularly those that are anxious or negative, can drain one's mental and physical resources and put a strain on one's health.

Negative emotions or thought pollution that are poorly controlled can be harmful to your health. "Negative attitudes, feelings of helplessness, and hopelessness can result in chronic stress, which disrupts the hormone balance in the body, depletes and destroys the brain chemicals needed for happiness, and damages the immune system." Actually, chronic stress can shorten our lifespan. Science now knows that stress makes our telomeres, which are the "end caps" of our DNA strands, shorter, which makes us age faster.)

Several health conditions, including hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders, and infection, are also associated with poorly managed or repressed anger (hostility). Thus, thought pollution is the root cause of all ills.

By focusing on a single powerful thought, we can alter our thought patterns. It can come from within, like positive self-talk, or it can come from outside, like a friend's compliment. You don't want to be tied to anything outside of yourself. Try going within to change your perspective. You are not constricting yourself; rather, you are utilizing an infinite force. By going within, you are getting closer to the entire cosmos.
