We know that the rms velocity is given by the formulae Vrms = √(3RT/M) thus the velocity which here can be seen that depends on the temperature directly and indirectly to the molar mass of the gas.

This formulae can also be written as Vrms = √(3PV/M) thus we get that rms velocity also depends on t he pressure as PV=RT thus if we change the pressure the volume also changes but the product PV remains constant. Thus  the rms velocity will not change and will remain X.
