Given :   Rosa is selling hotdogs, h  , for $4 at a fair.

She spent $200 on supplies for the sale.

To Find : Which equation models the profit,  P  , that Rosa makes based on her hotdog sales?

A   P = 4h - 200

B   P = 4h

C   P = 4h + 200

D   P = 200 - 4h

Solution:

Selling Price of  one hotdog   =  $4

Selling Price of  h hotdogs  =   4h    $

Revenue  =   4h   $

Cost  = $ 200

Profit = Revenue - Cost

=> P  = 4h - 200

Hence P  = 4h - 200   models the profit, Rosa makes based on her hotdog sales

Correct option is  A) P = 4h - 200
