Rosa makes candles to sell.
Each candle is in the shape of a cuboid of height 8 cm.

Solution:

Let "a" cm be the side of the base of the candle.

We know,

\boxed{\bold{Perimeter \:of\:a\:square = 4\times side}}

The perimeter of the square-shaped base of each candle = 20 cm

∴ 4a = 20

a = 5 cm

The height of each cuboidal candle, h = 8 cm

Also,

\boxed{\bold{Volume \:of\:a\:cuboid = Area \:of\: base \times height}}\\\\\boxed{\bold{Area \:of\:a\:square = side^2}}

Now, by using the above formulas, we get

The volume of each candle made by Rosa is,

= a² × h

= 5² × 8

= 200 cm³

Thus, the volume of one candle is → 200 cubic centimetres.
