Rose are pedicellate.

Explanation:

  • The flowers in which this pedicle is present is known as pedicellate flowers or stalked flower. Examples are rose, hibiscus etc. The stalk in some plants form a cup shaped receptacle is known as thalamus.
  • Some of the flowers may have short or long stalk at the region where they are connected to the stem and this is known as pedicle.
  • Flowers which do not have a stalk is known as sessile plants for example marigold. Stalked flowers are more common than sessile ones.
