Roshni drove for two hours at a speed of 40 km/h and for one hour at a speed of 70 km/h. What was her average speed for the whole journey.

Answer:

total distance = (40×2) + (70×1) km

= 80+70 km

= 150 km

total time travelled = 2+1 h = 3h

average speed = 150/3 km/h

= 50 km/h :ANSWER

speed:-40 km/h

time :-2 hours

in second case:-

speed =70km/h

time=1 hours

now,

average speed = total distance /total time

total distance = 40×2+70×1 (given)

=80+70

=150 km

total time=3 hours

average speed = total distance /total time

= 150÷3

average speed = 50 km/h
