Roshni used to put all the money she got from her parents and grandparents during festivals in her “Piggy Bank”. She was always very fond of saving money. Once she thought of buying a doll for her cute sister. She guessed she had enough money in her Piggy Bank. So, one day she broke it open. She found that she had only two types of coins in it; coins of 5 and 10 rupees. If she had ‘m’ coins of Rs.5 and ‘n’ coins of Rs.10, then answer the following:
Q 1. Write an expression which shows the total amount she had in her Piggy Bank.
Q 2. If her brother too had saved ‘m’ coins of Rs 2 and ‘n’ coins of Rs.5, then write an expression which shows the total amount he had.
Q 3. As Roshni was a little short of money she was upset. Her brother offered to help by donating all his money. Write an expression showing the total of both their money.
Q 4. Their mother was feeling proud of her children and she felt that she had inculcated good values in them. She observed something interesting. It was that her salary was the exact product of both of their contributions. Write an expression to show her.
