Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

For daughter 1 =

current age = 13 yrs

She will be  18 after 5 yrs.

Hence time = 5 yrs

rate of interest = 10% per year

Amount = 1,20,000

Amt = P(1+rt)

1,20,000 = P ( 1+ 0.1 ×5)

120000=P( 1 + 0.5)

1,20,000 ÷ 1.5 = P

Rs.80,000 = P

For daughter 2=

Her current age = 8 yrs

She will be 18 after 18 - 8 = 10 yrs

Hence time = 10 yrs

Amount = 1,20,000

P = Amt÷(1+rt)

P = 1,20,000 ÷ ( 1 + 0.1× 10)

P = 1,20,000÷(1 +1)

P = 1,20,000÷2

P = 60,000 Rs

Hence solved.

Hope this helps!
