Explanation: Rows of trees planted in the coastal areas are known as shelter belts  because as they prevent soil erosion due to wind. Near the sea as we know there are strong winds blowing and due to this the soil lying near to see can be easily eroded away so to prevent this rows of either tall coconut trees or either any other trees are planted. And so the crops growing near to the coast are not destroyed or harmed and the soil remains safe
