Given:

✰ The ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds is 6:5.

✰ Total number of Jersey cattle on his farm is 200

To find:

✠ How many Randall cattle does he own?

Solution:

We know that the number of Jersey cattle on his farm is 200 and the ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds is 6:5. Randall/Jersey = 6/5 here, we will put the number of Jersey cattle which is already given to us. Then, by using cross multiplication method we will calculate number of Randall cattle on his farm.

According to question,

⟹ Randall/Jersey = 6/5

⟹ Randall/200 = 6/5

⟹ Randall = 6×200/5

⟹ Randall = 1200/5

⟹ Randall = 240

The number of Randall cattle on his farm = 240

Verification:

➙ The ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds = 240/200

➙ The ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds = 24/20

➙ The ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds = 6/5

The ratio of Randall and Jersey cattle breeds = 6:5

Hence Proved!!
