Age of rozy = ( X - 5 ) years.



After 4 years age of rozy's brother = ( X + 4 ) years.



After 4 years age of rozy = ( X - 5 + 4 ) = ( X - 1 ) years.


According to the question,



X - 1 : X + 4 = 2 : 3



3 ( X - 1 ) = 2 ( X + 4 )


3X - 3 = 2X + 8

3X - 2X = 8 + 3



X = 11


Present age of rozy's brother = X = 11 years.


And,


Present age of rozy = X - 5 = 11 - 5 = 6 years.

Let present age of rozy be ( x ) years and present age of her brother be ( x + 5 ) years,

After 4 years,

Age of rozy = ( x + 4 ) years
Age of her brother = ( x + 5 + 4 ) years

According to the question :

$\frac{x + 4}{x + 9} = \frac{2}{3}$

=> 3( x + 4 ) = 2( x +9 )

=> 3x + 12 = 2x + 18

=> 3x - 2x = 18 - 12

=> x = 6

Hence, Present age of rozy = 6 years
Present age of her brother = (6+5) = 11 years
