Rs. 1096 were divided among P, Q and R such that if P had received 15 more, Q had received Rs.18 more and R had received Rs.23 more than their shares would be in the ratio 3:4:5, What is the share of R?​

Answer:

Total amount distributed among P, Q & R =Rs1096

Total amount diminished =Rs(15+18+23)=Rs56

So the rest of the amount =Rs(1096-56)=Rs1040

To get The individual's share we divide Rs 1040 in the ratio

3:4:5.

So r's amount

=Rs 5÷3+4+5×1040=Rs 0.416×1040=Rs 432.64

 ∴ r's share before deduction of Rs 23

=Rs(432.64+23)=Rs 455.64
