Answer:

Let shares of A ,B and C are Rs x, Rs y and Rsz respectively, acordingly:-

x+y+z=600……………..(1)

40+2x/5=20+2y/7=10+9z/17=k(let)

x=5/2.(k-40)……………(2)

y=7/2.(k-20)……………..(3)

z=17/9.(k-10)……………(4). Putting the values of x, y and z.

5/2.(k-40)+7/2.(k-20)+17/9.(k-10)=600. Multiplying both sides by 18.

or. 45k-1800+63k-1260+34k-340=10800

or. 142k=10800+3400

or. k=14200/142 = 100.

Thus , x= 5/2.(100–40) = (5/2)×60 = Rs 150.

y =7/2.(100–20) = (7/2)×80 = Rs280.

z=17/9.(1000–10)= (17/9)×90 = Rs170.

Shares of A,B and C are Rs150 ,Rs 280 and Rs 170 respectively. Answer.
