Let contribution of b and c be x then :

a = 1/2x

x + 1/2x = 5625

2x + x = 11250

3x = 11250

x = 3750

a = 1/2 × 3750 = 1875

Let c contribution be y

b = 1/4 (1875 + y) = 468.75 + 1/4y

5625 - (1875 + y) = 3750 - y

3750 - y = b

3750 - y = 468.75 + 1/4y

15000 - 4y = 1875 + y

5y = 13125

y = 2625

b = 468.75 + 0.25 × 2625 = 1125

The difference between a and b is :

1875 - 1125 = 750
