Rs.610 is to be divided among A, B and C such that the thrice the share of A is equal to 4 times that of B which is equal to 7 times of C . Find the share of B?

We start assuming share of A = x share of B= y so share of c= 610- ( x+y)

acording to question thrice share of A = 4 times of share of B= 7 times share of C

3x = 4 y = 7 ( 610 - (x+y ))

all three thing are equal each other

3x= 4y so x= 4y/3 we place this value of x in last two parts of this equtaion

4y= 7( 610 - ((4y/3)+y)

4y = 7 ( 610 ) - 7 ( 4y+ 3y )/3

4y = 4270 - 7 ( 7y)/3

multiplying each term by 3

12 y = 12810 - 49y

adding 49y both sides

61y = 12810

y= 12810/61 = 210

share of x = 4y/3 = 4* 210/3 = 280

share of C = 610 - ( 210+280 ) =120

Answer: share os A= 280 share of B = 210 share of C = 120
