Answer

c's share is Rs. 1200

Explanation

It is given that,

Rs.6800 has to be divided among a,b and c such that

a gets 2/3 of what b gets, and b gets 1/4 what c gets.

To find C's share

Let x be the c's share

b gets 1/4 what c gets.

So b gets \frac{1}{4}x

a gets 2/3 of what b gets

so a gets,\frac{2}{3}\frac{1}{4}x = \frac{1}{6}x

Total amount = 6800

\frac{1}{6}x + \frac{1}{4}x + x = 6800

Solving we get c= 4800

Therefore c's share = 4800

Find b's share

b' share = 1/4 (c's share) = 1/4(4800) =1200

Concept Introduction:-

It may be in the form of a word, a symbol, or a figure that reflects the arithmetic value of a quantity.

Given Information:-

We have been given that Rs.6800 has to be divided among a,b and c such that a gets 2/3 of what b gets, and b  gets 1/4 what c gets

To Find:-

We have to find that b's share.

Solution:-

According to the problem

Rs.6800 is to be divided between a,b and c.

Let c get x. Then b will get \frac{x}{4} and a gets (2/3)(x/4) or (x/6).

Therefore the total = (x/6)+(x/4)+x = 6800

4x+6x+24x = 6800\times24\\34x = 6800\times24\\x = 163200/34 = 4800

So c gets Rs.4800, b gets Rs.120 and A gets Rs.80.

Final Answer:-

The share of b is 120.
