crystal as opposed to a liquid crystal or liquid)But
in this case I would go back to a very simple criterion: if you put a
liquid in a comtainer it will mould itself to the space the container
(aka flow to the bottom)A solid retains its shape independent of containerThe way it responds to stress (stretching the rubber band) does not influence this property at all
