Ruchika wants to make a dress. She needs 3.4 m of fabric to make one part and 4.4 m to make
the other part. She estimates that she needs 7 m of fabric to make the dress and goes to the
store to buy it. Do you think it was a good idea for her to estimate? Why or why not?

Answer:

Given ,

one part = 3.4 m

other part = 4.4 m

required length = 7.8 m

estimated length = 7 m

No , it was not a good idea for her to estimate the length as the estimated length is less than the required length of cloth necessary and will result in short of cloth [ she wont be able to make the dress completely ] .

hope it helped and please mark as brainliest:)
