Given:

Price at which 20 kiwis were bought = 30 each

Two kiwis were sold for = 30 each

Two of them got spoiled.

Rest were sold at 40 each.

To find:

The profit percent.

Solution:

Cost price of 20 kiwis = 20*30 = 600

Selling price of first two kiwis = 30*2 = 60

Since two got spoiled, they will not contribute in selling price.

Selling price of rest of the kiwis = 16*40 = 640

Total selling price = 640 + 60 = 700

Profit = Selling price - cost price = 700 - 600 = 100

Profit percent = 100/600 * 100 = 16.67%

Therefore the profit percentage is 16.67%.
