Integration can be used to find areas, volumes, central points and many useful things. But it is often used to find the area underneath the graph of a function

In mathematics, an integral assigns numbers to functions in a way that can describe displacement, area, volume, and other concepts that arise by combining infinitesimal data. Integration is one of the two main operations of calculus, with its inverse operation, differentiation, being the other.

To integrate such product of functions, the integration by parts rule is used. In this example, v= x and du/dx =sin x. Derivation of formula: This final formula is known as integration by parts.
