Rules for Writing Ionic Equations :

1 :) all soluble electrolysis involved in a chemical change are expresses in ionic symbols and covalent substances are written in molecular form.

2:) the electrolyte which is highly insoluble , is expressed in molecular form.

3:) the ions which are common and equal in number on both sides ( spectator ions ) are cancelled .

Answer:

  • Start with a balanced molecular equation.
  • Break all soluble strong electrolytes (compounds with (aq) beside them) into their ions. indicate the correct formula and charge of each ion. indicate the correct number of each ion. write (aq) after each ion.
  • Bring down all compounds with (s), (l), or (g) unchanged.
