The following points should be kept in mind whenever writing an article/ essay-:

Explanation:

1) Title of the essay

2) Word Limit- 100  words ( minimum) for the essay

3) Opening should be there so that the reader is not bored of reading the essay .

4) If you exceed the word limit you are bound to loose your marks.

5) Certain opening lines for the essay are-:

  • As we move ahead in the 21st century, we are confronted with problems like- (specify the problems)
  • It has grown like a tumour and has strengthened its foot hold on the Indian scenario.
  • It has become a slur ( difficulty) on the Indian civilization.

For ending you could write this- It will become a big debating issue if this problem is not addressed at that point of time.

First of all, what is an Essay?

An essay in, a generally speaking, a written composition containing an expression of one's personal opinions or ideas on a subject.

An essay is generally divided into 3 parts

• The Introduction

• The Body

• The Conclusion

The following points should be carefully attended to in order to use the correct style of writing :

• Select only such words and phrases which exactly express the ideas which you've in mind.

• Avoid use of unnecessary words.

• Frame sentences in such a way that they're short, clear, and simple.

• Use short sentences in preferences to long ones, Be direct.

• Be clear in what you're writing.

• Say whatever you want as briefly as you can. Don't use ten words where one will do.

• Avoid flowery language. Use simple words and simple sentences.

Bear in mind the following rules :

Don't start writing at once. Think out carefully for like 10 minutes or so what you're going to say.

• Select your ideas carefully.

Stick to the topic. Do not write down a lot of things that have nothing to do with the subject.

Divide essay into paragraphs. Generally, 4 or 5 short paragraphs are enough for a short essay.

• Be interesting as well as to the point.

• Try not to do mistakes in spelling, capital letters, grammar, punctuation, etc.

Essays may be divided into Narrative, Descriptive, Reflective, Expository and Imaginative Essays.
