Easy Tips for using articles correctly.

Explanation:

I have the easiest and basic tips for using articles correctly. See the followings;

1. Use 'A/An' in following situation

- To talk about one thing or one person, such as, one cat (a cat), one egg (an egg)

- To talk about one person or thing which is unknown to your listener.

- To talk about category of a person or thing, such as, a doctor, an iphone 7, a laptop computer, etc.

- To talk about non-specific thing or person

2. Use An before vowel sounds and A before Consonant sounds.

An elephant (e) vowel sound

A house (h) consonant sound

An hour (ou) vowel sound

A university, A uniform (yoo) consonant sound

A wonderful place (wa) consonant sound

3. Use A/An with singular countable Noun:

don't use a/an with a noun you can not count by 1,2,3.

4. Use 'The' in following situation;

- To talk about a known or specific thing for countable or uncountable noun

5. Don't use articles with plural and uncountable nouns.
