Cube: A rectangular solid in which all the edges are equal is a cube. In a cube, just like cuboids, there are six faces, eight vertices & twelve edges. Surface Area formula = 6a2, where a is the side of a cube. Explanation: Volume = 1.7 litres = 1.7 x 1000 = 1700 cm3.
A cube is a special example of acuboid because all its faces are squares. Each of these twocuboids has the same volume, 8 cm³, and the same dimensions: length 4 cm, width 2 cm, height 1 cm. ... To find the volume of the second (red) cuboid, you need to use the rule: volume of a cuboid = length × width × height.

OK SO AS U HAVE NOT SAID ANYTHING .... I WILL NOT BE ANLE TO TELL AMYTHING.... I WANT TO KNOW....WHT U MEAN BY RULES?
I can only tell u some basic things a bout them

CUBE
•Volume=(side)^3
•Total surface area=6(l)^2
•Lateral surface area=4(l)^2

CUBOID...

• volume= Length ×breadth×height
•Total surface area=2(l×h+b×h+l×b)
•Lateral surface area= 2(l×h+b×h)
