Solution :-

let the total length of ribbon be X m

According to the question :-

X =

 \frac{16}{3}  +  \frac{9}{4}  +  \frac{28}{6}  +  \frac{38}{8}

Take the LCM of (3,4,6,8)

= 24

now add these numbers

 \frac{128 + 54 + 112 + 114}{24}  \\  \\  \frac{408}{24}  \\  \\  \frac{102}{6}  \\  \\ 17m

therefore the total length of ribbon is 17m
