Running at a speed of 60 km per hour, a train passes through a 1.5 km long tunnel in two minutes. What is the length of train?

Let the length if train = L

Length of tunnel = 1500m

Total length covered by train= L + 1500

Speed of train = 60 x 5/18 m/s

Time taken = 2 x 60 = 120 seconds

Now, D = S x T

=> L + 1500 = 60 x 5/18 x 120 = 2000

=> L = 2000 - 1500 = 500m
