Answer:

The value of x is 6.

Step-by-step-explanation:

For first simple interest,

  • Principal ( P ) = Rs 5000
  • Time ( N ) = 4 years
  • Rate of interest ( R ) = x %

For second simple interest,

  • Principal ( P ) = Rs 6000
  • Time ( N ) = N = 4 years
  • Rate of interest ( R ) = 5 %

From the given condition,

First simple interest = Second simple interest

We know that,

Simple interest = ( Principal * Rate * Time ) / 100

⇒ ( P₁ * N₁ * R₁ ) / 100 = ( P₂ * N₂ * R₂ ) / 100

⇒ P₁ * N₁ * R₁ = P₂ * N₂ * R₂

⇒ 5000 * 4 * x = 6000 * 4 * 5

⇒ 5000x = 6000 * 5

⇒ x = 6000 * 5 / 5000

⇒ x = 6000 / 1000

x = 6

The value of x is 6.
