Answer:

total amount = 9000

let the amount 1st friend be x

2nd friend = 2x (given)

3rd friend = half of 1st and 2nd friend

x+2x+1/2*3x = 9000

2x+4x+3x =9000*2

9x=1800

x=2000

1st will get 2000

2nd=2x

=2*2000

=4000

3rd will get 1/2*(1st+2nd)

=1/2*6000

=3000

to check sum

(1st +2nd+3rd)

2000+4000+3000

=9000

Step-by-step explanation:

Total money= Rs. 9000

Let x be the amount given to 1st friend

then, the second friend will get 2x , and

third friend will get (x+2x) /2

As the sum of all distributed amount will be 9000

therefore,

x + 2x +  \frac{x + 2x}{2}  = 9000 \\ 3x +  \frac{3x}{2}  = 9000 \\  \frac{6x + 3x}{2}  = 9000  \\ 9x = 9000  \times 2\\ 9x= 18000 \\ x = 2000

Therefore, 1st friend get Rs 2000

second friend get 2x=Rs 4000, and

third friend get (x+2x) /2=(6000) /2=3000
