Ruskin Bond is an author, who was born on 19th May 1934. He is an Indian based author born to Edith Clarke and Aubrey Alexander Bond in Kasauli. At 10 years of age he lost his father who was suffering from malaria. One of his first short stories which he wrote at the age of sixteen is 'Untouchable'.
He loved writing close to the nature precisely mountains. Most of his literary works are influenced from there only. He was awarded with most prestigious awards Padma Shri in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2014. He is still alive and leading a healthy life at the age of 85.
