Rusting of iron is much faster in monsoon season,compared to other seasons. WHY?

Rusting of iron means reaction of iron with water or air. During this process a layer is formed on the iron. Rusting of iron is much faster in monsoon because the water flows in large amount in monsoon compared to other seasons.

Rust is actually hydrated iron oxide with formula Fe3O4.XH2O. Iron rust ehen it is exposed to both Oxygen and water. Oxygen is always available and durind monsoon moisture content in atmosphere increases so more water is available thus more the water the iron rusts more quickly.
