Given :-

n1 = 85

n2 = 88

n3 = 78

n4 = 81

n5 = x

Average = 85

\frac{85+88+78+81+x}{5} = 85

Send 5 to R.H.S from L.H.S  

85+88+78+81+x = 5 × 85

332 + x = 425

x = 425 - 332

x  = 93
