Rutherford gave no clue about the stability of atom.

He said that electrons are charged species that continuously revolve around the nucleus. As they revolve ,their energy decreases. At one point,they completely lose their energy and fall into the nucleus.

This model was similar to Thomson's Watermelon model which was already rejected due to experimental evidences.

Hence,Rutherford's model of an atom was rejected.
