Bastar Lokotsav represents the folk culture of the Chhattisgarh state. It is celebrated after the end of rainy season and boast participation of tribal groups coming from remote locations of Chhattisgarh to Bastar.

Their main dress is kurta pajama and Punjabi dhoti kurta. Another important folk dance dress is Bhangra, men feel very happy when they got the chance to wear the Bhangra dress. With the Bhangra costumes, men wear chaadra, which is a long piece of cloth and turban which called pagri.
