sodium ions are smaller than sodium atoms is that the ion has only two shells of eletrons (the atom has three.)

yes sodium ion is smaller than sodium atom because as we know I chemistry when a atom loses it's electron ( cations) it's radius decrease s so...... Na+is smaller
