S phase and G2 phase of interphase of cell cycle are metabolically active or inactive? Explain in detail. (Plz don't copy paste Google answers I have already searched there and didn't find satisfying answer).

actually all phases in cell cycle are active.but some phases appear to be inactive but they arent actually like the G1 phase appears to be inactive but it prepare the further required things for the continuation of the cell cycle like proteins etc., in the same way in S phase the cell replicates its DNA and multiples the number of centrioles in the cytoplasm. here you need to know is  in S phase the amount of the material increases i.e. becomes double but the chromosomes remain in the same number. In G2 phase the cell again prepares the required things same as the G1  phase so that it helps the cell to divide properly in the interphase .Interphase includes prophase, metaphase,anaphase,  telophase .Hope u find the answer.
