vertex and a common side?
40. How many verces do two adjacent angles have?
41. How many sides do tro adjacent angles have?
42. If two adjacent angles lying on the same straight line
are mutually equal then each of the angles are....
43. What is the sum of the interior angles on the same
side of the common interceptor of two parallel lines?
Answers
Answer:
1.The little square at the vertex C shows that the two sides meeting there are perpendicular at that vertex — that's where the right angle is. The side c, opposite the right angle, is called the hypotenuse. The other two sides, a and b, are called the legs.
2.Adjacent angles are two angles that have a common vertex and a common side but do not overlap. In the figure, ∠1 and ∠2 are adjacent angles.
3.The adjacent angles will have the common side and the common vertex. Two angles are said to be supplementary angles if the sum of both the angles is 180 degrees. If the two supplementary angles are adjacent to each other then they are called linear pair. Sum of two adjacent supplementary angles = 180o.
4.Two angles are Adjacent when they have a common side and a common vertex (corner point) and don't overlap. Because: they have a common side (line CB)
5.Two angles are said to be linear if they are adjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines. The measure of a straight angle is 180 degrees, so a linear pair of angles must add up to 180 degrees.
6.When a transversal intersects two lines, the two lines are parallel if and only if interior angles on the same side of the transversal and exterior angles on the same side of the transversal are supplementary (sum to 180°).
