Answer :-

Resistor

A resistor is an electric component with a predetermined electrical resistance, like 1 ohm, 10 ohms 100 ohms 10000 ohms etc..

Resistance

Resistance is the property of a conductor, which determines the quantity of current that passes through it when a potential difference is applied across it.

Rᴇsɪsᴛᴏʀ= the voltage across each resistor is different.the current flowing through each resistor is the same.this combination is used to increase the effective resistance of circuit.the effective resistance of the resistor is equal to sum of their individual resistance.

Rᴇsɪsᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ=The voltage across each resistor is same . the current flowing through each resistor is different . this combination is used to decrease the effective resistance of circuit.the. effective resistance is equal to the sum of inverses of individuals resistance..
