Given :
- ᴘerimeter of rectangle = 164 cm
- Length of rectangle = 16 cm
To find :
- Area of rectangle
Formula used :
- ᴘerimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b)
- area of rectangle = l × b
Where :-
- l = Length
- b = breadth
Solution :
ᴘerimeter of rectangle ( P) = 2( l + b)
To find b , put :-
- l = 16 cm
- p = 164 cm
⟹ P= 2( l + b)
⟹164= 2( 16+ b)
⟹(164/2) = ( 16+ b)
⟹ 82 = 16+ b
⟹ 82 - 16 = b
⟹ 66 cm = b
therefore , breadth = 66 cm
Now we will find area of rectangle :-
⟹ area of rectangle = l × b
⟹ area of rectangle = 16 × 66
⟹ area of rectangle = 1056 cm²
ANSWER :
area of rectangle = 1056 cm²
