1)When we spray perfume on our palm we feel cold because the perfume requires latent heat of vaporisation to change its state from liquid to gas and this latent heat is provided by our palm. Our palm loses heat as it gives its heat in converting perfume from liquid to gas. The palm loses heat and becomes cold.

2)Larger is the surface area more is the evaporation. Thus evaporation is faster in a saucer causing more cooling than in a cup. For this reason, we are able to sip hot tea or milk faster from a saucer than a cup.
