Answer:

Perimeter of semi circle = 2πr / 2 = πr

= 22/7 * 14

= 44 cm

Area of semi circle = πr² / 2

= 22/7 * 14*14 /2

=308 cm²

GIVEN:

  • Diameter of semi-circle=14cm.

TO FIND:

  • Area of semi-circle.
  • Perimeter of semi-circle.

SOLUTION:

First we have to know the meaning of perimeter.

Perimeter is the sum of all sides.

Perimeter of semi-circle will be sum of half the perimeter and diameter.

r=14/2=7cm

 \sf So  \: perimeter \: = \frac{ \cancel2\pi \: r}{ \cancel2} +14cm

=πr+14cm

 \sf  = \frac{22 \times 7}{7}  + 14cm

=22+14cm

=36cm

Now we find area of semi-circle.

 \sf Area  \: of  \: semicircle= \frac{ \pi \: r {}^{2} }{2}

  \sf=  \frac{22}{7×2}  \times 7 \times 7

=77cm²

So final answers are:-

  • Area of semi-circle=77cm²
  • Perimeter of semi-circle=36cm
