PHOTOSYNTHESIS:
- Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organisms activites.
- During this process, light energy is captured and used to convert water , carbon dioxide and minerals into oxygen and energy -rich organic compounds.
TYPES OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS:
- There are two types of photosynthetic processes: oxygenic photosynthesis and anoxygenic photosynthesis.
- The general principle of anoxygenic and oxygenic photosynthesis are very similar, but oxygenic photosynthesis is the most common seen in plants ,algae and cyanobacteria.
- The process typically occurs in bacteria such as purple and green sulfar bacteria, which are primarily found in variou aquatic habitats.
PROCESS:
- The reactions of the plant photosynthesis are divided into those that require the presence of sunlight .
- Light- dependent reactions in the thylakoid and light-independent reactions in the stroma.
FUTURE PROCESS:
- Science that described another artificial photosynthetic system in which specially engineered bacteria were used to create liquid fuels using sunlight, water and carbon dioxide.
