PHOTOSYNTHESIS:

  • Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy that through cellular respiration, can later be released to fuel the organisms activites.
  • During this process, light energy is captured and used to convert water , carbon dioxide and minerals into oxygen and energy -rich organic compounds.

TYPES OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS:

  • There are two types of photosynthetic processes: oxygenic photosynthesis and anoxygenic photosynthesis.
  • The general principle of anoxygenic and oxygenic photosynthesis are very similar, but oxygenic photosynthesis is the most common seen in plants ,algae and cyanobacteria.
  • The process typically occurs in bacteria such as purple and green sulfar bacteria, which are primarily found in variou aquatic habitats.

PROCESS:

  • The reactions of the plant photosynthesis are divided into those that require the presence of sunlight .
  • Light- dependent reactions in the thylakoid and light-independent reactions in the stroma.

FUTURE PROCESS:

  • Science that described another artificial photosynthetic system in which specially engineered bacteria were used to create liquid fuels using sunlight, water and carbon dioxide.
