these values were taken to get integer value as it is difficult to plot fraction on x-y plane.so keeping this in mind .1 or 4 or 2 not because the value becomes fractional.

Hey!!!
it is not necessary to take the same values .
You can take any value of x.
but it should be easy to draw on graph!!!..
Let's look at some examples!
(i) if scale of graph is :- 1, 2 ,3...so on.it meant to say interval is 1.
So take supposed any integer value of x
(a) if we choose x= 1 we get y= 3,
so point will be (1,3) which is easy to draw on graph.
(b) again' if we take x= 2 then y= 4,
point will be (2,4)
You can also draw graph using these points
.
So conclusion is that :- you no need to worry about choosing points.just take an integer value of x to get integer value of y ...!!
So that I would be easy to draw on graph!!!!
