In this chapter challenger solved the mystery of reaching the plateau. He decided to cut down the tree so it can be used as the bridge to the plateau. On the way they had to kill lord john to save their lives. After that, they decided to explore the forest where they found huge and enormous animals. When they went back to their home they saw their things were scattered everywhere and there was a shadow like someone was hiding there.
