Given that,

S-t graph of two particles A and B.

Suppose, The displacement time graph for two particles A and B are straight lines inclined at angles of 30° and 60° with the time axis. The ratio of velocities of A to velocity of B

We know that,

Velocity :

The velocity of the particle is rate of change of position of the particle.

v=\dfrac{dx}{dt}

v = \text{slope of x-t graph}

We need to calculate the ratio of velocity of A to velocity of B

Using formula of velocity for A and B

\dfrac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\dfrac{slope\ A}{slpoe\ B}

\dfrac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\dfrac{\tan 30^{\circ}}{\tan 60^{\circ}}

\dfrac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}\times\sqrt{3}}

\dfrac{v_{A}}{v_{B}}=\dfrac{1}{3}

Hence, The ratio of velocity of A to velocity of B is 1:3.
