Ohm's law states that the electric current is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.

I = V/ R

It means when electric current increases, the voltage also increases but the resistance will be decreased. Similarly, when the electric current decreases, the voltage also decreases but the resistance will be increased.
