Given:-

  • area of rectangle is 145 5/6m
  • length of rectangle = 17 1/2

To find:-

  • width of rectangle

Solution:-

 \sf \: area \: of \: rectangle = length \:  \times breadth \\  \\  \sf \: 145 \frac{5}{6}  = 17 \frac{1}{2}  \times breadth \\ \\   \sf \: \frac{875}{6} =  \frac{35}{2}    \times   breadth  \\ \\  \sf breadth =  \frac{875 \times 2}{6 \times 35}  \\ \\   \sf \: breadth =  \frac{1750}{210}  \\   \\ \sf \boxed{ \bf{breadth = 8.3m}}

∴ Breadth of rectangle is 8.3m.

Question :-

the area of a rectangle is 145 5/6 sq m . if it is 17 1/2 m . find the width of the rectangle ?

Solution :-

Given,

  • the area of the rectangle =145 5/6^2 m .
  • length = 17 1/2 m .

How to find it ?

=> we can find it by the area of rectangle formula (length × breadth )

what we have to find here ?

=> we have to find here the width of the rectangle .

Solution :-

Area of rectangle = l × b

note :- here l represents to length and B represents to breadth

145 5/6 = 17 1/2 × b

=> 875/6 =35/2 × b

=> b = 875 ×2 / 6 × 35

=> b = 1750/210

=> b = 8•3 m

HENCE ,

the width of the rectangle is 8.3 m .
