Answer :-

Metal is a solid material which when freshly prepared is shiny, hard , malleable etc.

How do metal produces sounds :-

• Metal produces sound because of vibrations.

• As we know that, Sound is a type of energy which is produced by vibrations.

• When an object vibrates , it causes movements in surrounding air molecules.

• These molecules collides with the molecules close to them and causing them to vibrate as well

• When this vibrations occurs it produces sound.

• So, When we strike metal it produces vibrations which results to produces sound .

The chemical name for giving sound in metals :-

The chemical name for giving sound in metals is Sonorous

Sonorous is property of metal.

When we strike metal it produces sound this is called sonorous.

Some properties of metals :-

Metals are shiny in nature this property is called lustre.

Metals are malleable it means Metals can be drawn into thin sheets

Metals are ductile it means metals can be drawn into thin wires

Metals are good conductor of electricity as it contains free electrons

Metals produces sounds .
